Banket hall Gusyatnikoff
Merchants have always been the pride of the Russian Empire. They were famous for their good deeds and hospitality. The founders of the new restaurant ‘Gusyatnikoff’ managed to recreate the glorious Russian traditions and breathe life into the ancient mansion of Moscow merchant Gusyatnikoff. Located in a famous Moscow neighbourhood, near Taganskaya Square, it is a real example of taste and style. All the nine magnificent halls on the three floors of the carefully restored 19th-century mansion are filled with the real atmosphere of the merchant life.
The billiards room amazes with its luxurious interior; the cigar room is filled with peace and quiet; the hookah room with its cushions and sofas has an ideal eastern design. The lower dinner halls for six and twelve persons are convenient for business talks and friendly get-togethers. The upper rooms – the solemn main banquet hall, the elegant Chimney hall, the beautiful Wallpaper hall and the exquisite Parquet hall – would be good enough for a royal mansion. The magnificent interior is crowned with a nice mezzanine with romantic tables for two and a very appropriate rich library.
The Gusyatnikoff menu, which is full of various Russian dishes, is also a masterpiece of culinary art. Home pies and morses, pancakes and pickles, pies and cakes, cookies and jams are made with love and inline with old recipes.
Surely, Chef pays special attention to duck and goose dishes, which you cannot try anywhere else in Moscow.
No wonder that the entertainments the Gusyatnikoff restaurant offers the respectable public differ from the banal programmes of today – right after 9 pm you can listen to a pianist, traditional Russian music and Gypsies, who the Russians have always loved.
