Autumn Tomato Menu at Saperavi Café

Two restaurants of Saperavi Café chain will be cooking dishes from the special autumn menu based on bright tomatoes beginning from September 22nd to October 31st.

They are added to salads, starters, hot courses and there is even tomato jam. The menu opens with Georgian vegetable salad (250 rubles). Khatuna explains that “adjika, hot green pepper and wine vinegar are three main attributes of all cold dishes in the culinary of Georgia”. They also add juicy tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet red onion and aromatic greens into the salad at Saperavi Café. Tomatoes are served with tender cheese nadugi (Georgian analogue for Italian ricotta) on loaf baked with red beans (270 rubles).  The menu also includes gebjalia roll with tomatoes (270 rubles), thick gupta made of chicken liver with salty green tomatoes (270 rubles), tolma (minced lamb, parboiled rice, fresh greens and spices) in tomatoes (320 rubles). 

The most interesting dish from the autumn menu is tomato jam with lemon and suluguni (270 rubles).
